INGREDIENTS

TARO LEAVES - 6
BESAN -50 GM
CARROM SEEDS -1 TBSP
SALT - ACCORDING TO TASTE
RED CHILLI POWDER -1 TSP
CORIANDER POWDER - 1 TBSP
LEMON JUICE -1 TSP
TAMARIND WATER -1/4 CUP ITS OPTIONAL
CURRY LEAVES - 10
MUSTARD SEEDS - 1 TBSP
SESAME SEEDS - 1 TSP
WATER - 1/2 CUP

METHOD

First wash taro leaves. It's also known as arbi k patte.
Now make a  thick paste of besan which includes salt, chilli powder, corriander powder, tamarind water or simple water, carrom seeds.
Apply this paste on the leaves and roll it with your fingers.

We make rolls of all leaves by applying paste.
 Now we steamed these rolls in idli maker or rice cooker,for 5 to 8 minutes.
Cut these into small pieces.
Fry these pieces in oil, curry leaves,and mustard seeds.
Garnish it with sesame seeds.
You can serve hot  with tomato sauce or  your favourite chutney.

Patra is it’s Gujrati name. Taro leaves  are healthy for reducing blood pressure , cholesterol levels and anemia .
