VADA PAV
BOILED POTATOES - 5
SALT - ACCORDING TO TASTE
VEG OIL- 3 SPOON
TURMERIC POWDER - ¼ TSP
MUSTARD SEEDS - ½ TSP
CURRY LEAVES - 7- 8
RED CHILLI POWDER - ¼ TSP
AMCHUR POWDER - ½ TSP
GRAM FLOUR - 100 GM
BAKING SODA - 1 TSP
CORIANDER POWDER - 2 TBSP
MUSTARD OIL - FOR FRYING WADAS
GINGER & GARLIC PASTE - 1/2 PASTEMETHOD
Firstly we will make a mixture of wada. For this, peel and mash boiled potatoes with the help of hand.
Take oil in the pan and switch on the flame.
Add mustard seeds,curry leaves,salt,red chilli powder, turmeric powder,ginger,garlic paste and amchur powder in the oil .
Add mashed potatoes in it and mix it equally.
Now we will make small balls with this potato mixture. Don't forget that the mixture should be cool.
Secondly we have to make gram flour paste by adding water, salt,chilli powder and baking powder.
Gram flour paste should be slightly thick in consistency.
We will take mustard or veg oil in a pan for frying vadas.
Now dip these potato π₯ balls in the gram flour paste and fry in the oil. You can put these balls in the hot oil with the help of a spoon.
You have to fry these vadas on the medium flame.
Fry it till it becomes golden brown in colour.
On the other hand fry some green chillies in oil. (which should be cut between it)
We will fry all vadas like this.
Now we need some pavs. Cut them from mid and put vada and fried chilli in it. Vada pav is ready to eat.
This is a Maharashtra snack and very famous in BOMBAY also. It is very delicious and easy to cook. You can try and share your experiences with me on FOOD STREET 51.
