MOONG DAL HALWA

INGREDIENTS


YELLOW SPLIT GRAM-2 CUP (MOONG DAL )

MILK- 2 CUP

GHEE -1.25 CUP

ALMONDS - 15 CHOPPED

CASHEW NUTS - 10 CHOPPED

CARDAMOM POWDER - 2 PINCH

SUGAR - 1.5 CUP

WATER - 1/4 CUP


METHOD


Firstly wash the dal and soak it in water for 25 minutes.

Drain water after 20 or 25 minutes.

Roast this moong dal on medium flame till it becomes golden brown in colour.

Crush moong dal

Take ghee in a pan and roast all the dry fruits.

Now take ½ cup ghee in a pan and roast this moong dal mixture.

Roast dal by adding ghee from time to time till it becomes golden.

Add milk and some water and stir  it continuously and make sure it's lumps free.

Now you have to mix sugar, cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits in it.

Add ghee partly and roast moong dal mixture till it leaves the pan's surface.

Your moong dal halwa is ready to serve.

It will take 45 minutes to prepare it.
