KHICHDI OF GUJRAT

INGREDIENTS

SPLIT GREEN GRAM - 1/2 CUP
SPLIT RICE - 1/2 CUP
GHEE - 2 TBSP
CURD - 3 SPOON
CLOVES - 5
CINNAMON - 1 INCH PIECE
TURMERIC POWDER - 1 TSP
SALT - ACCORDING TO TASTE
ASAFOETIDA - 2 PINCH
WATER - 3 CUP


METHOD


Firstly wash rice and gram. Keep it for soaked.take a pressure cooker and pour some ghee. Now add cloves , cinnamon,and asafoetida. Roast this for 2 minutes. Add water and boil it. Now add rice and gram and salt according to taste.
   It's time to add turmeric powder and curd  and mix it with the help of scoop.
 Now do the flame high and put the lid on.
 Give two whistles .Then do the flame low and give 3 whistles. Open this cooker after 7 minutes.
Serve hot khichdi with papad ,cury and pickle.
  This khichdi is beneficial for pregnant women, good digestion,and who have  stomach related problems.
This khichdi can detox our body. This food is good for weight loss and for sugar patient.
